WordPress Themes and Artisteer Software.

We use Artisteer software to create most of our initial themes.  Then we modify them for specific website designs by adding page templates, custom sidebars and other features.  We add things like the Featured Content Gallery plugin to our Artisteer Themes to create flashy home pages giving you a magazine or news style theme.

Artisteer has a nice forum to ask your questions but you can also ask here if you want.  I will answer your questions to the best of my ability and try to help.

To create your own theme the first thing you have to do is create your framework.  In other words you have to create your section layouts along with your style sheet creating a usable template.  This is what you must do before even thinking about custom features and page designs. This is the part Artisteer does for you.  It creates a very nice template from which you can build on and create the type of website or blog you want.
