In the constant changing world of WordPress we can expect new things to come in WordPress 2.9.  Talk of new features and improvements are being voted on now.  Looks like the most requested feature deals with editible photo galleries which would be a nice improvement over the per post gallery that exists now.  We find ourself using plugins to manage photos so maybe this will be beneficial.  Check out all the 2.9 latest here.
