If you run a WordPress website and you want your site to be more friendly when viewed using a cell phone we found a plugin that makes it pretty easy. It’s called WordPress Mobile Pack and it’s available through the WordPress plugin library. After you install this plugin you choose one of the built in mobile themes and set the method of detection and your set. When a mobile device accesses your site it is automatically detected as such and displays your condensed mobile site formatted for the small screen. Regular visitors using a computer browser will see your normal site. There is a link that you can enable or disable put at the bottom of your site allowing users to switch between the mobile or standard theme so you always have the choice. This works real nicely for most WordPress sites but if you have a magazine styled front page or a custom design of some sort it may not display well for your home page and there is not much you can do. All in all the plugin is very nice and you should check it out HERE!

This Free Theme features 3 columns with content to the left, a wide column in the middle suitable for a list of articles or custom menu links, narrow column to the right for your blog menus. Using the custom menu feature and the custom verticle menu block(s) you can display your content in many different ways with this theme. Other built in features include, your footer text, footer widgets, top and bottom content widgets, page hiding, title hiding, comment hiding, ad shortcodes and more.

This theme will let you maintain a WordPress blog and website , plus, using the included one column “page template” you can create your very own Sales Pages you can links to in your email campaigns.

It’s a minimal theme with the intent of a minimal website and blog, but you can also create as many flowing sales pages as you would like. They can include all the content editing features that you can put into your WordPress posts or pages. Like contact Forms, or better yet, Order Forms. Photos, Slideshows, polls and More. You can hide them from your page menu if you like and with the WordPress Custom Menu feature you can make link specific sidebar menus to show on blog posts and pages that you choose to.

It may be a minimal theme but using the one column page template you can get very creative. Your normal pages can either have a sidebar or they can be single column also. Article Posts will have your sidebar for widgets. Footer content can be inputted from the dashboard theme options. Many other built in options too like short code ad insertion and a custom verticle menus.

Artisteer 3.0 New Preview Release

There is a new “Preview” version of Artisteer available. If you have a current registered version you can download and install this in parallel with your 2.4 or 2.5 version. Since the last release of version 2.4, Artisteer has released numerous versions of thier 2.5 release which didn’t seem to be all that well recieved by users. Version 3.0 is looking more promising and it has many new features. Things like being able to have the title of a page displayed or not using a check box on the edit page. There’s also a check box for that page to appear in menus or not. Support for new WordPress 3.0 widget areas and custom menus. It’s looking real good so far and we can’t wait for the official stable release.

There is a preliminary release version available for download that we are playing with now and it seems very stable. A New Theme created with Artisteer 2.4 with a couple added features!

This is a more Page Oriented Theme with a verticle menu to show your Pages. The menu expands when clicked to show sub pages.

The Date is built in to the top of the sidebar.

I have also included support for the Breadcrumb Navigation Plugin to show a page trail at the top of Pages. The plugin is included in the archive and needs to be uploaded to your plugins folder.

Nice professional look with tan and orange colors.

Footer is editable from the dashboard and you can add your own text and links.

If your looking to build a website for your business, club or association this theme will give you a nice looking and easy to navigate site.
