The developers of WordPress are hard at work getting the next version together. They have made WordPress version 3.4 beta available if you’re one of those that likes to stay on the cutting edge.

Remember this is not a regular release and should only be used if you know what you are doing and make good backups. There is always the possibility of problems and bugs with beta versions.

WordPress 3.3 beta 3

New beta version released. WordPress has released version 3.3 beta 3 and it is available for use for those that like to stay on the cutting edge. There are no additional features being added at this time and the current mission is to address any bugs that may be left before they release an official version 3.3. So it looks like we will all move to version 3.3 very soon.

WordPress 3.3 beta 2

A new beta release of the latest and greatest WordPress is now available. WordPress 3.3 is now up to a beta 2 version and it looks like we are getting close to a new official version very soon. Dashboard improvements are nice along with performance enhancements. Here’s the latest.

Updated the Blue theme
Fixed IE7 and RTL support
Improved flyout menu styling and fixed several glitches
Finished the Pointers implementation
Landed the dashboard Welcome box for new installs
Improved contextual help styling
Tweaked the admin bar a little more
Fixed a bunch of bugs

The dashboard change is very nice. The sidebar pop outs are a nice change over expanding and collapsing boxes. Look for a new version release very soon.

WordPress 3.2 must be close!

WordPress has released version 3.2 -RC-1 which is an official release candidate, meaning a release is soon to come. We have it running on out other site and have no problems but it’s not official yet and really shouldn’t be used on your active site. It is available though for those that want to be daring or know what they are doing. New Dashboard layout and improved functionality are the main improvement areas.

WordPress 3.0 Coming Soon!

We are getting closer to a new official WordPress 3.0. The second beta version is now available for anyone that likes to stay on the cutting edge.

Lots of new features coming including customizable menus and the merge with WordPress MU. You can always read more about it at www.wordpress.org!

A new WordPress 3.0 beta has been released for download. So it looks like a new official version 3.0 is on it’s way. The beta version that is out is really only for testing purposes and is not something you should jump into. If your into making backups and database backups and familiar with restoring things back a few steps then give it a try but I would wait for the official release before upgrading especially since this is a first release beta that probably has some glitches.

Latest Changes To Artisteer

Artisteer released a new beta version recently that has corrected a few issues. The footer problem of not being able to surround your url’s with quotes has been resolved along with the big button effect to the “Read More” put into your long posts. I do have to say that they keep upgrading this software at a pretty rapid pace so if your a user of this great web development tool stay up to date and check their website often.
