Corporate Blue Theme
Free WordPress Theme – Complete Websites using WordPress
The Corporate Blue Theme
A Free Theme and a sample of using WordPress as a Full Blown Website!
This custom WordPress Theme comes with a few different page templates that can be used to give it more of a Business or Corporate Website feel. Plus, the Header is one graphic file and can be changed to include your logo or graphics using your graphics editor of choice. There is support for the “Breadcrumb Nav XT” plugin built into the theme. It gives you the page path or breadcrumb trail at the top of your pages.
There is a full page template that has no sidebars and gives you the full width of the theme for major text, pictures, graphs, whatever. It comes in handy and lets you have a different look on specific pages. All you do is choose the Page Full page template when saving your page.
There’s also another page temlate that allows comments. Most pages
don’t really need comments but you can if you want to. Just like a post.
There is another template besides the default and the two talked about above which is basically the same as the default but it does not print the Page Title. You can enter a more desciptive title using H tags. We use this for top level pages that show in the Mneu bar. They are Highlighted when active and so the user knows the title of the page. Lets you be more creative with a page title or heading. We use the default page template for the sub pages or the ones that show on the drop downs.
This theme has a fixed width of 1000px and is suited for 1024×768 minimum screen resolution. It is modified to use Breadcrumb Nav XT plugin by just installing the plugin and only activating the core part. The code is already in the page templates and ready to go. Widget ready with dual side bars and a drop down Nav/Menu Bar for your pages. The content of the footer is also editable in the Theme settings of the Dashboard. The links that are there by default don’t go anywhere and if you want to use them you have to go and enter the URL’s.
To make this more a website over a blog we create a page named Home that we will use as our home page and we also create a blank page called News that we’ll tell WP to use as our Blog Page. This is done in in the dashboard under settings-reading. Choose to use static pages and select Home as your home page and News as your posts page.
You may download and use this theme for free.
