Artisteer released the Official 3.0 version this week.  The new version allows you to easily create WordPress themes and other CMS Platform templates, HTML pages, and even complete html websites with your content.

Some new features in Artisteer 3.0 include:

There is a new “Preview” version of Artisteer available.  If you have a current registered version you can download and install this in parallel with your 2.4 or 2.5 version.  Since the last release of version 2.4, Artisteer has released numerous versions of thier 2.5 release which didn’t seem to be all that well recieved by users.  Version 3.0 is looking more promising and it has many new features.  Things like being able to have the title of a page displayed or not using a check box on the edit page.  There’s also a check box for that page to appear in menus or not.  Support for new WordPress 3.0 widget areas and custom menus.   It’s looking real good so far and we can’t wait for the official stable release.

Artisteer has released a preview version of their newest product, Artisteer 3.0!  Lots of new stuff including website designs with fluid widths.  Now, I didn’t really think version 2.5 was finalized, but it looks like an official version 3.0 is soon to be released.  Artisteer still creates fantastic out of the box WordPress themes, website templates and other blog and CMS platform templates.  Check it out here…

Artisteer 2.5 is still a preliminary release and does contain some bugs and glitches.  If you decide to try it remember just that.  Check out the Artisteer Forum to see the types of problems still to be worked out.  If you want a very stable version get the latest 2.4 release and you can create your templates with confidence and ease.   If you purchase version 2.4 you will be able to upgrade later or like me you can load both versions on your computer and play with 2.5 all you want.  To install both versions you say no to deleting the previous version and then change the directory name that you install too.  This way you can run the stable version and experiment with the new one.

A new version of Artisteer is almost ready for release.  This new version adds many new features and support for WordPress 3.0.  Also with the 3.0 menu support you now have the ability to add widgets to the footer or above and below the article block.  So you can add text boxes and custom menus everywhere.   There is a preliminary release version available for download that we are playing with now and it seems very stable. Artisteer is the only way to go if you want to quickly and easily create your own blog templates and web page designs. As a developer we use Artisteer because we know we get a stable design to start with before we go and add other features and functionality. It looks like Artisteer is getting ready to release version 2.4. After a couple of beta releases they feel that they are almost ready to release a stable version. The new version has many new features and enhancements like a vertical menu, more page layout options and some flash overlays for the header. The latest version (as of today anyway) has a small error in the generated template.  An error in the css code.  The bullet icon for the list items doesn’t show up.  To fix it find the following styling rule in your style.css file.  You can do this in WordPress using the theme files editor.

Change the image name from “BlockContentbullets.png” to “BlockContentBullets.png” (just change lowercase b in bullets to uppercase B) in the following line:

One thing  we found with the new Artisteer version 2.3  is that by default Pages allow comments.  You can disable allowing comments when you create your page but then you still get the “Comments are closed” notice at the bottom of the page.  What we do is create a new page template  by copying the “page.php” file and renaming it “page-comments.php” .  You have to add the following code to the top of the new page-comments.php file.

Then we edit the “page.php” file and remove the following line.

<?php comments_template(); ?>

So now your default page template has no comments at all, and if you want a page to have comments you just select your new page-comments template when creating your page.  We do this with many other themes also.  Not only Artisteer.

Artisteer has officially released their newest version 2.3 and with it comes quite a few improvements and changes.  It now supports designs for Google Blogger along with improved support for WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and DotNetNuke.  It includes new glares, textures and icons to provide a bigger variety of little features that give your designs a unique look.  The only negative thing is that you can no longer save designs using the trial version so to fully use the product you need to buy it.  In our opinion it is still well worth the money and a good investment if you want to produce nice templates for yourself or others.  You can check out the release notes and see all it has to offer on the Artisteer News Page.

Artisteer has released a new version. Final Version 2.2 is now available for download and is a free upgrade to current registered user. Artisteer released a new beta version recently that has corrected a few issues.  The footer problem of not being able to surround your url’s with quotes has been resolved along with the big button effect to the “Read More” put into your long posts.  I do have to say that they keep upgrading this software at a pretty rapid pace so if your a user of this great web development tool stay up to date and check their website often.

If you are using the Artisteer Software to create web templates then you probably already know that they released a new beta version recently to address recent issues with templates created.  Artisteer is a very young product and really hasn’t been out that long so updates are bound to happen and probably pretty frequently.  As with all sofware, especially ones like this that do so much, is bound to have certain bugs or glitches as I call them.  So far they are all easy to work around and correct manually.  They have a nice user help forum and there are also other sites on the web that are helping Artisteer users.  Check here for answers to your questions and maybe even something about that mod you would like to do.  www.artisteerhelp.com .  All in all I still think this is a great piece of software and highly recommend it.

Just a little glitch!

The latest version of the Artisteer software gives you a theme option to input footer data including links in your newly created WordPress theme.  The only problem is when you enter a URL like you’re suppose to with “quotes” around it, then you save it, it alters the code by inserting ” \ ” characters. 

Simple solution!! 

Just enter the URL with NO “quotes”.
