Artisteer 3 is now here!
Artisteer released the Official 3.0 version this week. The new version allows you to easily create WordPress themes and other CMS Platform templates, HTML pages, and even complete html websites with your content.
Some new features in Artisteer 3.0 include:
- Website creation features with support for editing pages and blog posts
- Web design and website samples
- Support for fluid layouts (resizable sheet width)
- Interactive web design preview area (clicking a web design element navigates to corresponding tab in Artisteer)
- Ability to specify design styles for the “Suggest” feature, generating thematic web designs (corporate, simple, retro, etc.)
- Custom CSS options in Export Options
- WordPress theme code based on the default WP 3.0 TwentyTen theme
- Additional header and background graphics
- Additional color themes
- Header and footer can now be page-wide
- Added transparency areas for various graphical effects
- Added masked header textures (transparency areas in the texture graphics)

Artisteer 3.0 New Preview Release
There is a new “Preview” version of Artisteer available. If you have a current registered version you can download and install this in parallel with your 2.4 or 2.5 version. Since the last release of version 2.4, Artisteer has released numerous versions of thier 2.5 release which didn’t seem to be all that well recieved by users. Version 3.0 is looking more promising and it has many new features. Things like being able to have the title of a page displayed or not using a check box on the edit page. There’s also a check box for that page to appear in menus or not. Support for new WordPress 3.0 widget areas and custom menus. It’s looking real good so far and we can’t wait for the official stable release.
Artisteer 3.0 Preview
Artisteer has released a preview version of their newest product, Artisteer 3.0! Lots of new stuff including website designs with fluid widths. Now, I didn’t really think version 2.5 was finalized, but it looks like an official version 3.0 is soon to be released. Artisteer still creates fantastic out of the box WordPress themes, website templates and other blog and CMS platform templates. Check it out here…
Artisteer 2.5 still preliminary
Artisteer 2.5 is still a preliminary release and does contain some bugs and glitches. If you decide to try it remember just that. Check out the Artisteer Forum to see the types of problems still to be worked out. If you want a very stable version get the latest 2.4 release and you can create your templates with confidence and ease. If you purchase version 2.4 you will be able to upgrade later or like me you can load both versions on your computer and play with 2.5 all you want. To install both versions you say no to deleting the previous version and then change the directory name that you install too. This way you can run the stable version and experiment with the new one.
Artisteer 2.5 New Features
A new version of Artisteer is almost ready for release. This new version adds many new features and support for WordPress 3.0. Also with the 3.0 menu support you now have the ability to add widgets to the footer or above and below the article block. So you can add text boxes and custom menus everywhere. There is a preliminary release version available for download that we are playing with now and it seems very stable. Artisteer is the only way to go if you want to quickly and easily create your own blog templates and web page designs. As a developer we use Artisteer because we know we get a stable design to start with before we go and add other features and functionality.
